Master Directory (UMD). |

| Description |
| As more intranet and personalized portal applications are
developed, the requirement for a database that contains information
about State Employees has increased. To meet this need ITS has
developed the State Employee Enterprise Database (SEED). SEED
is populated with data from several sources including Human
Resource Enterprise database (HRE), Novell's Directory Services
(NDS), and GroupWise. Oracle stored procedures are used to keep
it updated. SEED has already been instrumental in the success
of various applications including PerfPlan and Healthy Utah. |
